Bye June, Hello July

Monday June 28 ~
Had a ropes course, where we did the tight rope walk. Started teaching the Sr. Architectures class Went on a successful grocery trip full of wonderful healthy delights Had an awesome work out, burned twice as many calories as usual, and had fun choreographing two new dances. Made a wonderful Salmon dinner and hung out with the hubby. What a wonderful Monday. Plus my sunburn has pretty much become a tan.

Tuesday June 29~
Today the Hawk lady came and showed us this cool falcon. In Sr. Architects I taught some basic Autocad skills and the kids did a wonderful job. I came home for a quick workout. In the evening I was able to go with my friend Carrie and her two wonderful kids to beautiful Red Butte Garden and out for frozen yogurt. It was a nice evening.

Wednesday June 30~
Today we made fossils. Arch class went well. Training workout. Dugan and I went to Lagoon. As we approached the entrance something seemed a little odd. There was no sound of roller-coaster and no screaming. We found out that the power had gone out and that most of the rides were not up and running yet. So we decided to go to dinner at this popular chinese food place in Bountiful called the Mandarin. It was a fun night.

Thursday July 1~
Today we went rock climbing. The kids worked really hard and did a wonderful job. Class went well. Great Workout. Dugan and I decide to go and see Eclipse. I am not obsessed with the Twilight series but I appreciate that that it is something different. This one was mine and Dugan's fav. so far.

Friday July 2 ~
Today the whole camp went to East Canyon Reservoir. Then I had my last day of teaching. I am sad it is over. After work Dugan and I went to the mall and hung out.

Saturday July 3~
Today is our friend Jeff's Birthday. We went to Breakfast with him and his wife Shasta. Then we all went and hung out at the mall till it warmed up enough to go swimming. When it got a little warmer we went to Cowabunga Bay. It was really fun. It is actually pretty different then Seven Peaks which is the water park it Provo that we went to a few weeks ago. The slides were fun and there were plenty of places where you can dump, squirt and play in lots of water. Afterward we headed to Jeff and Shasta's to get cleaned up. Everyone realized they got a little to much sun. We walked over to the Freedom Festival downtown Provo. Nothing much there. Then we went to the mall and then headed over to the field to layout blankets. It was a little chilly. The guys went and got us warmer clothing. How sweet of them. There was a beautiful Sunset. It felt like it was taking forever for the Fireworks to start. It made me miss my parents and all the wonderful fun 4th of July memories I have with family. The fireworks began and they were wonderful. It was a great show. We were able to get out with little traffic. We got home late but had a wonderful day. Thanks Jeff and Shasta for such a fun day and Happy Birthday Jeff.

Sunday July 4~
I LOVE the 4th of July. The morning was spent with family that was visiting from out of State. Also spent a little time with my little sis and here cute little boy. Had a nice day with the hubby. Had an emotional break down. The holiday has made me think a lot. All the emotion of missing my family (Parents are in Cali, Brother is in Hong Kong) I have many wonderful memories of past 4th of July's and I miss them. Plus I have a great love for this country. I will have to write more about it in another post. I listened to my Favorite song of all time, America by Neil Diamond over and over. That night we watched the Bees Stadium fireworks right outside our apartment. God Bless America

My kids at camp are always the ones with my camera.
I love all these wonderful shots they get.

Having way to much fun. Dugan is up on the left spraying Jeff in the upper middle and I am down at the bottom.

While hanging out with my sister.
Everyone has been asking for a pic of my lighter hair and tan skin. In this picture you can see that my hair is lighter but I don't know if you can tell that I have a tan but it is crazy how dark my skin is getting and how much the sun has bleached my hair. That's the joy of spending almost all day everyday in the Sun.

We had a fun time and I was so careful about putting on Sunblock over and over again. I didn't get pink at all. I am so proud of myself. I use to ALWAYS get burned at Seven Peaks when I was little. We decided to have breakfast for dinner. Which our friends prepared for us. Thanks guys! We then watched Valentine's Day. It was a wonderful day.

Sunday~ Had a nice day. I got all my stuff ready for teaching tomorrow. Made this S'more bar for dessert after dinner and enjoyed the end of my weekend. Happy Father's Day to my wonderful dad. I am the Luckiest girl in the world to have him.

Last weekend before the 40 hour work weeks

Friday June 4th Ran errands, went to Gateway with my little sister and her little boy Liam. We had fun talking and watching him play in the water
Dugan got home and we weren't sure what to do for fun so he had me look up movie times and we went and saw the movie "The Killers"

Saturday June 5th
Worked at VS from 6-10am
Went to the U to help with moving all the camp stuff and getting it organized
It was very interesting watching a group of born leaders. You either have to stand above the rest or follow directions. When everyone hangs out it the middle it gets confusing. Everything went well and we finished up early afternoon.
I got home to a hubby who was still sleeping. ( I can never sleep in past 9)
We had lunch and then headed off to Lagoon (our amusement park) to get our season passes. We are always wanting to do something fun so we go out to eat and we don't even want to eat out. I have enjoyed making dinner at home. We decided if we had season passes to Lagoon then we could come home and have dinner at home then when we want to do something fun we can just go use the pass that we already have. It will save us money and we can eat healthy at home.
We had a wonderful time together and the ride called the Wicked is pretty good.
We had to go and pick up a few last minute things for camp on Monday.
Then we came home and had a nice dinner and evening together.
Right before bed we found out about something that made our hearts hurt, but our prayers go out to those involved. We love you and hope that everything turns out for the best.

Sunday June 6th

Had a nice time at church.
Took a crazy long nap (I didn't know how I could sleep that long in the middle of the day)
Watched Alice in Wonderland
Then watched the beautiful lighting show that was given to us by mother nature outside our window.

Fun night with the hubby

June 2nd
My day started early. I had work at 6 am. After work I met Dugan for his Great Grandma's grave side service. It was beautiful and she lived a long and happy life. I know that she is in heaven having a wonderful time. I am sure she is skipping around and seeing all the people she has missed who had passed on before her. Dugan's Aunt and two uncles came in town and we had a wonderful time hanging out with them ALL day. I had to go to a training for a few hours that was very helpful for my new job. After training we met up again. Just can't get enough. We had such a wonderful time and got home pretty late. I will miss them but hope to be visiting them soon.

June 3rd

Happy Birthday to sweet Katierbug. The day started of with a little hiccup so I went and picked up my Bff Carrie and her two little munchkins Katie and Jimmy. We went to the gym where Carrie and I had fun chatting while working up a pretty good sweat while working out. It always makes the time go by. Then we decided it would be fun to play a little game of Racquetball. We got into the room and I had no idea what the rules where so we made up our own. Name of the game is "Keep the ball alive" Let's just say it got a little crazy but it was really fun. We went and got the kids and went swimming. It was lots of fun and I was reminded of the good old days when all my swimsuits had fuzzy but from sitting in the shallow part of the pool. Swimming made me a little hungry. We had lunch and I got to give Katie her birthday present. She looked really cute in it and I hope she likes it. Sad to say it was then time for me to come home and get some work done. Wonderful news my sweet friend had her beautiful baby boy. Congratulations.
When I got home there was no light. uummm Awesome. Dugan and I almost had to go out to dinner but we waited it out and the lights were back on soon.

Another fun night with the hubby.

Well June here you are and I am liking you a lot.

I am about to start my last weekend before my fun new summer job starts. Oh what to do, what to do?

PLAY of course!!!
